    But worry not, balancing professionalism with personal happiness is possible! Here are some practical tips you can apply to achieve balance in your career and personal happiness.

    1. Appreciate yourself

    Appreciating yourself will do wonders to help lift your spirit. This also means that you should appreciate yourself even in a work environment. Indeed, sometimes you might encounter problems that can make you feel small and forget about achievements that you have accomplished before. 

    But, it’s important to recognize your accomplishments from the work you’ve done. Because this will indicate your competence in completing assigned tasks. A couple of things you can do to appreciate yourself after a job well done are treating yourself to a favorite restaurant, taking work leaves for a holiday, or shopping for self-reward at your favorite online shopping platform.

Do your workout at home, before or after work.

    4. Eat mood-elevating foods

    Snacking during working hours may be prohibited in some offices, but if your office doesn’t have a problem with this, then you should make good use of it. There are lots of foods high in nutrition and at the same time can help enhance your happiness after consuming.

    5. Stay hydrated

    Drinking plenty of water is essential for various bodily functions, such as regulating temperature, lubricating joints, and maintaining overall balance. When your body’s water needs are met throughout the day, all its functions work optimally, preventing you from feeling unfocused, dehydrated, and vulnerable to illnesses. Working with a healthy body undoubtedly adds to your sense of happiness; after all, no one can be happy while dealing with physical discomfort.

    6. Start a new project 

    Being bored with work routines can be the source of your moodiness at the office. To manage this better, the one thing you can do is to try and start looking for side projects or additional work that can be done without disturbing your work schedule.

    7. Laugh more often

    Managing stress levels in the office is crucial for happiness. Embrace opportunities to joke and laugh with your team members, even amidst tight deadlines. Laughter doesn’t cost anything, and it’s a clear sign of happiness and readiness to face various situations. Thus, don’t hesitate to share laughter when something funny happens. It’s a positive way to boost happiness at work.

    During your commute from work, you should try to remember at least 3 good things that you encounter for the day. Remember, happiness in the office can come from many things and is not solely related to material things. Having a good boss and a solid team can be a reason to be happy which is even more than money.  Doing this daily will help increase your gratitude, and indeed make you feel happier.

    9. Have a stroll under the sun 

    For office workers, encountering sunlight is a rarity. Especially so if you commute inside a vehicle daily. Typically, you will only have 5-10 minutes of direct sunlight. However, walking under the morning or afternoon sun can also be a source of joy. 

    Thus, if your office is close to a bus stop or train station, consider walking instead of relying on a bus or other method of vehicle. Not only will this bring a sense of happiness, but your skin will also benefit from exposure to the morning sun. If you leave work around 4-5 pm, try to leave on time occasionally and savor the beauty of the sunset.

    There are numerous ways to find happiness while at the office, some of which can be pursued during weekends, such as spending time with close friends or exploring new tourist attractions, and many more. Despite the challenges and work pressure, it’s crucial to ensure your mental well-being by never forgetting to seek happiness.
