More and more organisations are becoming aware of the impact of the working environment on the health of their employees, so they are proposing a model called “Healthy Company”. One of these companies has been Artesanía Cerdá with its project “Cerdá takes care of you”.
The healthy organisation model is based on investing resources to implement initiatives and programmes focused on improving the well-being of its employees.
The company that chooses to implement this model establishes the health of its team as a priority from a global approach, both physical and psychosocial, and promotes healthy lifestyle habits within its organisational climate.
The healthy organisation model brings great benefits: employees feel especially cared for and recognised by the organisation. The perception of active participation in projects and results is increased. In addition, talent retention and pride in belonging to the company are encouraged.
Studies show that happy employees are up to 12% more productive and have 65% more energy, so happy people make companies more competitive and profitable.
For all these reasons, Artesanía Cerdá, a leading company in the production and distribution of licensed products in Europe, has started a process of transformation towards the Healthy Organisation Model from its Sustainability Department, with the project “Cerdá takes care of you”.
“Cerdá Takes Care of You”: employee welfare as a priority.
Cerdá takes care of you aims to offer various initiatives and corporate programmes so that the people who form part of the Cerdá team enjoy a better quality of life and state of health.
“At Cerdá we believe that the greater involvement and motivation of workers in a healthy environment has an impact on the viability of the company, with effects on the results. That is why we seek to promote a sustainable and healthy awareness in all areas of the company that lasts over time. “explains Teinmá Cerdá Navarro, from the Sustainability Department.
This project will be launched soon and will include initiatives for its employees in various areas such as the preparation of a healthy menu to eat on the premises, physiotherapy treatments, personalised training programmes, yoga and emotional well-being sessions, as well as smoking cessation awareness workshops.
Cerdá’s Healthy Company Model forms part of its strategic approach for the coming years which, together with its sustainable business model, has recently enabled the company to obtain the Great Place To Work certification.
This certifies that Cerdá is one of the Best Companies to Work For in Spain, with a culture of high trust, capable of attracting and retaining talent. Currently only 150 Spanish companies have this certificate and Artesanía Cerdá is one of them.
